Anvl CEO Robin Fleming shares her experience working with High Alpha Innovation and Cummins to go from idea to safety software leader in a matter of months.
Cummins approached High Alpha Innovation to take advantage of our proven process for innovation, as well as our operational expertise around rapidly scaling software companies. The Digital Accelerator team participated in Sprint Week, an intensive, week-long business ideation and validation session, and gained conviction around starting a new business outside of the Cummins core. The end result? Anvl, a software company focused on coaching field technicians to improve workplace safety. High Alpha’s partnership with Cummins resulted in a software tool that not only heightened workplace safety for Cummins employees, but also for workers at companies across the country. Today, Anvl’s technology is used both internally at Cummins and by other manufacturing and construction leaders.

The origin of Anvl came from High Alpha. Cummins had an idea about how they could improve safety within their organization. So after sprint week we’ve had a fantastic relationship with Cummins. We’ve had access to their front-line workers, which we leveraged them in the design process to make sure that we were building a product that would engage with those users.
