INDIANAPOLIS — February 12, 2019 — Anvl, a next-generation safety solution for the workforce, is honored to be nominated for both “New Tech Startup of the Year” and “Innovation of the Year” at the 20th annual Mira Awards. The Mira Awards are the biggest tech awards event in Indiana — celebrating the people, products, companies, and places chosen as ‘The Best of Tech in Indiana’. Last year a sell-out crowd of 1,300 people attended the black-tie affair.
Anvl is a nominee in the New Start-up of the Year category, which recognizes startup companies with great potential that demonstrate the creative, strategic and innovative entrepreneurial spirit of Indiana’s technology industry.
Anvl Workforce, for frontline workers, is a nominee in the Innovation of the Year category, which recognizes a new concept or process that revolutionizes, advances, or creates new tech industries and fields. A complete list of the nominees competing the 2019 Mira Awards can be found here.
“The Anvl team is proud and honored to be nominated for two Mira Awards. Our products have demonstrated remarkable success in driving change to support safer work environments,” explains CEO and Co-founder Robin Fleming.
Anvl’s customer’s leverage the solution from their frontline workforce to corporate leaders to identify risks across their enterprise and implement safety controls in complex maintenance and service environments. Anvl allows companies to intervene at the point of risk with custom interventions and stop-work triggers.
“A majority of businesses with hazardous environments still rely largely on paper to keep their workforce safe,” explains CEO and Co-founder Robin Fleming. “Our opportunity is to help those companies drive cultural change, intervene at the point where risk occurs, and leverage data to identify and help drive proactive safety changes.“
Nominees for the Mira Awards were selected by 48 independent subject matter experts who evaluated and ranked the applications. Later this month, nominees will present their cases to judging panels, after which the judges will select the winners following deliberations. Winners will be at the awards ceremony on Saturday, April 13 in Indianapolis.
