FISHERS, Ind. (June 19, 2020)   — During TechPoint’s 21st annual Mira Awards gala, Anvl received the Innovation of the Year award for Automated Offline-capable Hazard Identification capabilities. Due to COVID-19, the awards gala was postponed from the spring and was held for the first time virtually on Thursday, June 18th.

This award recognizes a brand new way of doing things that revolutionizes, advances, or creates new tech industries and fields. Anvl was also nominated for two additional awards, including Startup of the Year and Tech Product of the Year.

The Mira Awards are Indiana’s largest and longest-running technology excellence and innovation recognition program, and the annual gala celebrates the “The Best of Tech in Indiana.” This year’s Mira Awards theme was “Be Bold”, reflecting the growth and successes that the nominees achieved over the past year.

Nominees were selected by forty-eight independent, volunteer judges who evaluated applications, interviewed nominees, and selected winners. Judges included company founders, CEOs and presidents, CTOs, CIOs, and other subject matter experts. Last year Anvl was nominated for 2 awards including: Innovation of the Year and New Tech Startup of the Year.

Anvl’s software acts as an organization’s eyes and ears on the ground, gathering data from front-line workers even in rugged conditions to detect worksite risks before they become critical hazards. Workers benefit from a guided experience that engages them and gives them a voice, capturing actionable data and analytics.

“Anvl leverages modern mobile and cloud tech to amplify the voice of the front-line worker” said John Ellis, CTO of Anvl. “By pairing accessible mobile technology with our real-time analytics platform, we can equip and enable a company’s workforce to drive change in new and exciting ways.”

New hazards workers encounter due to COVID-19 have surfaced the need to further prioritize worker safety and resources to support them.

Anvl has assembled templates ready to respond to this need. Anvl is helping companies support workers with step-by-step guidance, data capture, and real time insights to enable safe return-to-work processes.

Anvl’s flexible workflow platform was able to rapidly adapt, deploying solutions to mitigate new and emerging escalations while providing observational analysis at the point where risk occurs.
